Qur'an Foundation
The Qur’an Foundation Level is designed for children under the age of 6 years old who are not able to read. Children will begin exploring the Arabic alphabet through phonetic sounds. With our bespoke Arabic Phonetic Sounds book, crammed with fun reading, writing and arts & crafts activities; children will become accustomed to the formations of every letter and their correct pronunciations; which is essential for reading with fluency. Children will learn the phonetic sounds through the Al Haramain Arabic and English Nashīds which involve actions relating to each letter. Children (and parents alike) will have great fun learning vocabulary through our exclusive innovative and interactive augmented reality technology medium where you will see the alphabets pop right out of the book!

Alongside learning to read, children will be memorizing Surahs from Juzz 'Amma with careful monitoring on the correct pronunciation and application of the rules.

Qur'an Level 1
Qur’an Level 1 is for children above the age of six who are unable to read. Students will learn all the letters of the alphabet in 7 weeks using our bespoke Qur’an Level 1 booklet crammed with exercises to speed up letter recognition. Children will then move on to Al Qā'idah Al Nūraniyyah which is a specialised Qā'idah used throughout the Middle East. It incorporates learning Makhārij (correct pronunciation) and rulings in a unique repetitive rhythm enabling children to learn quickly. Furthermore, it is written in the same typography as Al Mus-haf Al Madinah making the transition to reading the Qur'an ever easier. For homework, children will be required to watch Al Haramain Word Formation Videos which summarise each lesson of Al Qā’idah Al Nūraniyyah through animation.

Children will be individually set Surahs for memorisation according to their ability.

Qur'an Level 2
Qur’an Level 2 is for students who are familiar with the Arabic alphabet but need more practice in improving their fluency of reading. Students will focus on applying the rules of Tajweed that are essential to reading accurately without delving into the fine details of the rules (which will be covered in the next level). Students will:

· Practice joining letters and reading words
· Use listening skills to imitate different sounds such as nasal sounds and lengthening
· Learn about the characteristics of the letters
· Have the opportunity to practice reading many words, include those which are challenging on the tongue, to improve fluency and accuracy

By the end of this level, students should feel confident to read anywhere from the Qur’an with the application of essential Tajweed rules in preparation to study the technicalities of the rules in the next level.

Qur'an Level 6: Hifdh Al Qur’an
Students who can read independently and can apply the rules of Tajweed can join this level. Students will be set individual targets for revision and for memorising which will be tested on a weekly basis.

Spiral Curriculum & Assessment
At Al Haramain Qur'an Schools, we support students by providing skilled teachers who can mentor students to use various memorisation techniques. Teachers assess each student's memorisation capability and gradually increase targets to improve memorisation capacity. We understand that students need to not only be supported to memorise but on retaining what they have memorised from the Holy Qur'an. Taking a spiral approach, teachers will assign an individualised memorisation and revision portion to be tested in each lesson
